An independently organized TED event returning to Antioch, Tennessee after more than a decade.
Our first run produced nineteen talks and performances that have been viewed more than five million times. Those ideas, on race, grief, food, language and more, reached audiences around the world.
We're back for 2027 with the same mission: find the ideas in Antioch worth spreading and give them the stage they deserve.
The room is intimate, with 50 seats by application, and the live stream is free for everyone. We're building a program that represents the full depth and diversity of this community.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
